About Me I have lived in the Orlando area for 15 years. I am a transplant from Detroit where I earned my Bachelors and Masters degree from Eastern Michigan University. I first became interested in hypnosis after working for Elsom Eldridge way back in 1994. I edited the convention book and through that I learned all the different ways that hypnosis can be applied. Shortly thereafter, I introduced my mom, Mary Lou Jankowski, to hypnosis and she became certified in 1996 from Connie Palinsky. It has been an exciting and wild ride since then.
Music I love jazz of all varieties. I also enjoy techno. I guess I like to create the words for myself while listening to the instruments.
Movies I am a big lover of the chic flick. I know, how shallow and simple. Hey, life can be complicated, so why bother watching other people's drama? I like to keep is light, silly and comical!
TV Do I have to???? Please don't make me. But if I must, then how about Home and Garden Network. Oh yea, you can catch me watching all the major golf tourneys also. at least on my Tivo.
Books My library is very vast. Everything from business and marketing to spirituality and religion, to medical periodicals, to info on sexual performance. Don't forget about golf performance as well.
Likes I like lots of things, however, my boyfriend probably tops the cake. Next, would come all the kind and generous people in this world.
Dislikes Not much into focusing on the negative. No need to create that for myself.
Hobbies Reading, interior decorating, weight training, kundalini yoga, pilates, the beach, fashion shopping
Vices I am pretty single focused. I wasn't there when God was passing out the gene for multi-tasking! I also could use more patience.
Virtues Intuitive, loving, thoughtful, creative, open-minded, inventive, oh, there's more, however, I will leave you with these.

Tap Your Way to Golfing Success!

    Saturday, July 28, 2007, 02:35 PM [General]

Who would've known that EFT (emotinal freedom technique) is suitable for golfers?  Oh, sure, I have worked with my fair share of greiving, distraught, traumatized, and just plain sad folks...yet, I hadn't thought of tapping to help golfers.  I commonly work with golfers that are great in practice and fall apart at competition.  It is so great to know that tapping away their fears can help keep them in the tournament.  At the level of play these competitive golfers play, the mental game is the only thing that separates.  So, if you have a golf client that laments about the first hole jitters, show him/he how to tap their way into golfing success.

In fact, I am developing a script and mantras specially designed for tournament golfers, utilizing EFT.  If anyone has input, please feel free to share.  I am always open to suggestions.  I know there are a few folks on the internet that specialize in this.  I am not the first one to think of this...what matters is that these nervous golfers have a new chance at success.

It's not always what it seems!

It is well known in the hypnosis world that more than not, the presenting problem is most likely not the "real" issue.  I had an opportunity to notice this again today.  I saw a golf professional, teaching and playing for 20 years.  He's good, he has his PGA teaching card and is exempt for many tournaments.  However, no matter how much he practices he still chokes on chipping.  After a thorough intake, it occured to me, that golf is not his issue at all.  His anxiety was so high.  In fact, I could even feel it from across the room.  The golfer has been struggling with many mixed-up feelings and unfortunate situations from his childhood, that is what is causing his anxiety.  He was puzzled when I suggested that we do some forgiveness work and have him rescue his younger self.  Of course, he does not yet understand that being your own best friend will do a multitude of good for anxiety.  He left feeling better.  I look forward to seeing an improvement in his chipping, which was just the symptom that he was presenting.  Thank God for the poor chipping, or who knows when he would actually address his anxiety.

Golf happens in the space between your ears!

We all know that golf can be a frustrating game, especially for those who have not learned how to use their mind to their advantage.  We all fall prey to many disempowering beliefs...problem is many of us actually believe what we tell ourselves.  If we think that we will miss the putt, then chances are that we will prove ourselves right.  However, if we are willing to alter, shift, if you will, the way that we have looked at things, the way that we believe, then we will find a different outcome, a more pleasant outcome.  The intention of MindLinks, is to show golfers how to change those negative beliefs into empowering thoughts and feelings.  Who knows, you may just make a hole-in-one!

P.S.  I witnessed this myself from a 25 year golf vetran!
